Road maps

The past year has been a period of transition for me, leaving behind a 30-year teaching career and mapping out a new road map for the soul. The territory I intend to move through will no longer be in the field of teaching English – now I want to fully dedicate myself to what I am most passionate about at this stage of my life: the practice, study, and teaching of mindfulness. For me, it is, as Carlos Castaneda or Jack Kornfield would say, a true path with heart.

Over the last two years, I have been training with Unified Mindfulness (UM), the organization created by Shinzen Young and Julianna Raye to share a theoretical and practical framework for mindfulness practice that is the most complete and profound I have encountered in the many years I have been practicing.

The project is taking shape on the website I am creating, a space where I clearly present what I offer: personal coaching, group courses, and retreats for those seeking a deeper experience. It is not about “changing our lives” in a few hours of class or over a weekend, but about taking steps toward an established practice, day by day, week by week, year by year—a practice that, over time, can indeed change the course of our lives.

I have already traveled a long way and I am eager to keep walking, learning, and growing. If any of this resonates with you, I would love for us to walk part of the way together, whether in a consultation, a course, a retreat, or simply meeting at a crossroads and from there co-creating a new roadmap.
